Jocarta Egyptian Arabian Horses
Vision Quest 2002 A. D.

Volume VI, Number 2                                           December 2003

Dear Friends and Relatives,

What an incredibly fast moving year this has been. As I write, I am sitting on Mr. Newton's plane while it is being de-iced in New York... one of the many stops we are making on our 3 week Christmas Tour. In fact we have filled in most of our free time with tours this year, which made it impossible for me to get back to the ranch as much as I would have liked. Needless to say, I also didn't have time to send out many Newsletters. I'll try to remember everything that has happened since our last update, and hope I don't repeat too much of what you already know.

Client... Jane Hunter, met her filly for the first time during her visit to the ranch in September. (Three years in the waiting... we watched with great anticipation to see the reaction.) It was a very exciting and emotional moment, and of course... love at first sight. Anisha El Dine and her new owner hugged and learned about each other every spare minute. Jane said she didn't want to leave to go back to California, so we are trying to convince her to move out to Missouri to be with her filly. What I didn't tell you is that Jane flew to Las Vegas from California, and drove with me cross country... hauling our 2-year-old black Egyptian-related filly, JC Dafiinah, back to the ranch. Thank you Jane, you were not only a real trouper for those 32 hours, but a great help.

The weekend prior to our visit to Jocarta, we sold JC Dafiinah's full yearling brother... Abarakidabra, which I hauled to Salt Lake City, Utah for his new owners, Kim LeMieux and Richard Pabon. Congratulations Kim and Richard on your selection of this exotic black colt for your new breeding program. (Abarakidabra is already winning ribbons for them, and attracting breedings from all around North America.)

Some of you may have heard that the owners of Cadron Creek Arabians have retired. They sold their ranch and all of their horses... however, they are still available to us for guidance and consultation. The stallions, are happily all together at Pallone Equine Clinic, available at stud, and still going under the heading of "Cadron Creek Stallions". More interesting is that I have been selected as "Marketing Director" for the stallions... which includes breeding sales, contacting clients, advertising layout and design, and coming up with innovative ideas to introduce this endangered breed to newcomers. Perhaps one of you would also help me out by giving me some suggestions as to what you would like to know about these horses or the horse business (even if you don't have any desire to be personally involved); the history of Egyptian Arabians; why they are valuable; what people do with them; tax benefits; the hidden exciting lifestyle...hob-knobbing with the "royals", etc. For example... did you know that they are insurable, and 100 % deductible against... other source of income? There is a whole world of new technology out there that has perhaps overlooked some of the basics... like... it takes real people to design and run machines, but recently "horses" have been used to escape the machinery... in more ways than one. The bond of horses to humans has not only mental and physical therapeutic value in itself, but the camaraderie between the owners takes on an energetic, supportive, and uplifting air that simply gives new meaning to the word "magic". If you are lonely, stressed out, searching for new inspiration, something to get involved with, or simply someone who cares... this might be an avenue you should explore.

We hope all is well with you and your families, and that the year to come will provide you with health, peace and prosperity.
