Dear Friends and Relatives,
Wow...this year has just simply slipped away from us. It wasn't until I started to get phone calls and letters of concern from some of you ... that I realized how long it had been since the mailing of our last Newsletter. Everything is just fine, and we have had an absolutely wonderful year. It went by so fast that it's a little blurry, but I will do my best to catch you up in chronological order.
I believe that it was in March that we ... (mom, Mark, his brother David, our partners Nancy and David Korekach, our neighbor Karen Peak, and myself) attended on of Cadron Creek's infamous "FREE ... Newcomer's Conferences." It was awesome, great fun, and very productive...as usual! David (Mark's brother ... who knew nothing about these magnificent horses) purchased a couple of shares in the "Imari Partnership." Congratulations David, not only on your thorough investigation of same and the business acumen that you brought into our awareness, but also on becoming a member of the "Success Formula" of Cadron Creek.
Our neighbor, Karen Peak, said upon seeing the magnificent "Living Legacy" stallion The Ministril ..., "Standing next to Brad Pitt couldn't be more exciting that standing next to The Minstril." By the way ... we recently heard via Cadron Creek's Newsletter, that Paul Husband (owner of the late, world renowned stallion, Khemosabi) recently purchased his very own share in The Minstril. Congratulations Paul! It's very humbling to know we have such successful and well standing progenitors of the Arabian horse breed in our stead.
Our partners, David and Nancy Korekach, purchased their own 16-acre horse facility in Tennessee, and have since transported some of their horses there. They now have a couple of Straight Egyptian colts available for purchase who were born earlier this year. Congratulations ... Nancy & David!!!
Alas ... "Jocarta" has had a very exciting and fun year to date. We also had two "colts" born this year. One was sold prior to either the seller (us .., "Jocarta"), or purchaser (Mr. Bill Campbell) even seeing the colt, and although the colt had a color change ... Mr. Campbell knows that "color" is not the criteria of "value". He purchased his new Straight Egyptian colt at 10 days old, and he name him ... " Aliddaar" ... (in reference to his million-dollar selling maternal grandsire ... " Alidaar"). This awesome colt is out of our foundation mare ... Faliha, and sired by AHW'S world-wide "Leading Juvenile Sire's List Stallion" ... Al Baraki. (By the way ... Faliha is in foal to The Minstril for a 2003 foal. If it's a filly ... she's going to be retained by Jocarta, and not for sale. If it's a colt ... he will be for sale, as we do not keep or maintain stallions).
Last, but definitely not least ... Jocarta has taken on a new family member to care for our horses in Missouri ... (and also to help, and keep an eye on mom!). Her name is Judi Hullinger, and she has worked with one of North America's top Arabian stallions ... "Magnum Psyche", not to mention her foaling, A.I. breeding, and semen transport capabilities. Welcome aboard Judi, and we look forward to a long and successful relationship ... not only for us at Jocarta, but as an extension to all out mentors, and our present and future clients.
